                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF VARIOUS STREETS IN THE DOWNTOWN
                   AREA, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, ON
                   SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7, 1991 FOR THE
                   PRESENTATION OF "THE JINGLE BELL RUN FOR
                   ARTHRITIS" UNDER THE SPONSORSHIP OF THE
                   GREATER CHATTANOOGA BRANCH OF THE ARTHRITIS
                   FOUNDATION, UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of the southbound curblane of Market Street
       between the Chattanooga Choo Choo/Holiday Inn and 20th Street, 
the
       westbound and northbound curblane of 20th Street between Market
       Street and Main Street, the northbound curblane of Riverfront
       Parkway between Main Street and Grove Street, the northbound
       traffic lane of Grove Street between Riverfront Parkway and
       Boynton Drive, the northbound traffic lane of Boynton Drive
       between Grove Street and Gateway Avenue, the northbound traffic
       lane of Gateway Avenue between Boynton Avenue and Cameron Circle, 

       the eastbound traffic lane of 6th Street between Gateway Avenue
       and Pine Street, the eastbound curblane of 6th Street between 
Pine
       Street and Chestnut Street, the northbound curblane of Chestnut
       Street between 6th Street and Riverfront Parkway on Saturday,
       December 7, 1991, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for the
       presentation of "The Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis" under the
       sponsorship of the Greater Chattanooga Branch of the Arthritis
       Foundation, provided that the sponsors shall set out and pick up
       all flasher barricades, traffic cones, and traffic control signs
       in accordance with the traffic control plan attached hereto and
       shall provide, at all times, an access lane for emergency and
       residential vehicles.
